Online Graphing Program

Some students have asked for a link to one of the free online graphing programs I am using in Pre Algebra. I think this is a great one for what we are doing. Click on the picture to try it out.

Confused?

Get help from Grove and Evans AM or PM!

Did you know that the amazing, stupendous, and punctual Mr. Jeremy Grove is available Tuesday and Thursday mornings before school to field your math questions? Stop by between 7:30 and 8:00 for help! 6th 7th and 8th graders are all welcome.

And for those who love their snooze button just a little more than math (honestly, I can't blame you) then stop by room 7 on Tuesday and Thursday before 4:00 for help from Mr. Evans. Come one come all.

Also, stay tuned for information about an official River School afternoon tutoring program.

Spiral Graph Notebooks!

Staples got a shipment of notebooks on Tuesday and Evans bought them out. They were $2 each so that is what he's selling them for. No profit? What kind of math teacher is this guy??

Oh and Jocelyn, they didn't have tie-dye covers.. sorry.

MDTP

Mr. Evans and Mr. Grove began the 2010 school year by giving a test known as the MDTP or the "Berkeley Test". While the test score will not be entered into the gradebook, the results will be used to evaluate what skills our students need practice on after a summer away from math classes. The results of this test will also be made available to parents when River holds student led conferences during the first week of October.

If you would like to learn more about the MDTP click here.
